Respect is seeking a dedicated and forward-thinking Regional Area Manager to oversee and support our aged care portfolio. This is a pivotal senior role responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality care, strong operational performance, and a thriving organisational culture across multiple homes.

The Position

The Regional Area Manager is responsible for providing clinical governance and operational oversight across multiple residential aged care homes. Working in alignment with Respect’s strategic priorities, you will:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and identify ongoing improvements
  • Support, coach and guide General Managers to achieve excellence
  • Ensure high-quality care and compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Liaise with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission when required
  • Monitor occupancy, funding trends, and financial performance
  • Lead strategies to improve occupancy, care outcomes, staff capability, and resident experience
  • Manage complaints, workforce matters, and safety issues in collaboration with Executive and People & Culture
  • Oversee roster management, personnel levels, and workforce planning
  • Contribute to policy development and organisational planning
  • Relieve General Managers during extended absences when required
  • Provide timely reporting and maintain strong communication with the Chief of Residential Aged Care
  • Support continuous quality improvement and major organisational projects
  • Foster a positive, ethical, and high-performance culture across all homes

This role is remote, with regular travel to sites within your portfolio required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Driver’s Licence and ability to travel regularly
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience as a Residential Aged Care Manager or similar senior role
  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and aged care compliance
  • Experience in residential aged care
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills
