About the Role
As the Social Care Coordinator, you’ll lead and oversee the social care program at Mt St Vincent. Working closely with the General Manager and a passionate team of staff and volunteers, you’ll design and deliver engaging, resident focused programs that nurture wellbeing, creativity, and social connection.
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and continually enhance social, emotional, and recreational programs tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
• Lead and support social care staff and volunteers in delivering high quality activities and experiences.
• Foster partnerships and connections with the local community, schools, and organisations.
• Facilitate resident meetings and encourage input in planning and program design.
• Maintain accurate records, program statistics, and resource inventories.
• Monitor and manage social care supplies and undertake audits as required.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and promote a culture of safety, respect, and inclusion.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
• Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar qualification).
• Current National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
• Proficiency in computer and information management systems.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable:
• Experience in aged care, dementia care, or therapeutic or recreational services.
• Membership with Diversional Therapy Australia.
• Experience providing complementary or creative therapies.
