Respect Aged Care is seeking a dedicated Casual Chef or Cook to join our team at both our Hudson House and Yallambee Lodge facilities in Cooma, NSW. About the Role

As a Casual Chef/Cook, you’ll work as part of our catering team to prepare, cook, and serve wholesome meals that support the health, preferences, and wellbeing of our residents.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals in line with our set menus and dietary needs

• Supporting the implementation of our Food Safety Program

• Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment

• Assisting with ordering, stock control, and kitchen documentation

• Providing warm and friendly service to residents and staff

You'll play an essential role in creating a positive mealtime experience for those in our care.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Trade Cook Certificate or equivalent

• Food Handling Certificate

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment

• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable:

• Experience working in aged care or health services

• Basic computer literacy

• Understanding of dietary requirements and safe food handling practices
