Respect Fred French is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Care Coordinator to join our team in Newstead, TAS. This full-time role is a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the lives of our residents by coordinating and delivering social, emotional, and recreational support. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience, a person-centred approach, strong communication skills, and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for older people.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and implement lifestyle and social care programs tailored to individual resident needs
Foster a supportive and engaging environment through meaningful activities and therapeutic services
Build positive relationships with residents, families, and the wider community
Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to care planning
Work collaboratively with the broader care team to promote holistic wellbeing
Essential Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant role
Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or Diploma in Leisure and Health (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid Certificate
Proficient in computer systems and information management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Understanding of aged care quality standards and person-centred care principles
National Police Check and appropriate working rights in Australia
Desirable Requirements:
Experience in delivering complementary therapies and recreational services
Demonstrated experience in dementia care
Experience working in residential aged care settings
Knowledge of and connections with local community groups and support agencies
