About the Role
At Lyrebird Village, our Cleaning Services Assistants play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This is primarily a cleaning position, with opportunities to support our food services team when needed.
No two days are the same! As a Cleaning Services Assistant, you will:
Perform general cleaning across resident rooms, communal areas, bathrooms, and kitchens
• Ensure all areas are cleaned and sanitised in line with infection control standards
• Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Manage waste disposal and maintain cleaning supplies
• Support kitchen and dining services during busy periods (e.g. meal prep, plating, serving, clearing)
• Work collaboratively across teams to meet daily operational needs
• Maintain a respectful and compassionate approach in residents’ home
• Follow all WHS and organisational policies
About You
You’ll thrive with us if you have:
• Experience in cleaning, hospitality, or food services (preferred but not essential)
• A flexible and team-focused attitude with willingness to support across departments
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
• Good time management and organisational skills
• A compassionate and respectful approach to aged care
• Physical capability to meet the demands of the role
• Knowledge of infection control practices (desirable)
• A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
