About the opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to lead Gracemere Gardens Residential Aged Care with compassion, integrity, and confidence. This is an exciting opportunity to guide a committed team, influence the quality of care provided to residents, and foster a workplace culture grounded in respect, trust, and collaboration.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of operations. From clinical care and compliance to financial management and team development. You will bring a hands-on, people-focused approach that inspires excellence, builds strong relationships, and drives continuous improvement across the home.
What you will be doing
Provide clear, values-based leadership across all operational and care functions.
Mentor and empower your team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
Ensure compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and all regulatory requirements.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure financial sustainability.
Build trusted relationships with residents, families, and local community partners.
Champion Gracemere Gardens as a home of belonging, dignity, and quality care.
Lead innovation and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance resident wellbeing.
About you
You are a compassionate and capable leader who balances operational excellence with a genuine passion for resident care. You thrive in a collaborative environment and take pride in cultivating a positive workplace where staff feel supported, valued, and empowered to do their best work.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
Demonstrated leadership experience in aged care or a related health sector.
Strong understanding of aged care governance, compliance, and funding models.
Financial and business management experience, including budgeting and workforce planning.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A collaborative leadership style focused on coaching and empowerment.
Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, management, or business (desirable).
