As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and dedicated General Manager to lead our Maleny Erowal Aged Care facility. Situated in the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland, Maleny offers a warm community feel, natural beauty, and an opportunity to lead a highly engaged team in a supportive environment.
About the Role
As the General Manager, you will provide strong, values-led leadership and strategic direction to ensure the highest level of care, safety and wellbeing for residents. You will oversee all operational, financial and clinical aspects of the facility, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and compassion.
This role is ideal for a senior leader who thrives in a relationship-focused environment and is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for residents, families and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Provide inspirational leadership and drive a positive, person-centred culture across the facility
Ensure high standards of clinical care, resident safety and regulatory compliance
Oversee financial performance, budgeting, occupancy, workforce planning and resource management
Build strong relationships with residents, families, staff and the broader community
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident experience and operational efficiency
Manage risk, quality assurance and adherence to the Aged Care Quality Standards
Support and mentor department leaders to achieve service excellence
Represent the facility professionally with internal and external stakeholders
About You
You are an experienced and confident leader with a strong understanding of aged care operations. You thrive on building high-performing teams, navigating complex environments and driving positive change. You balance compassion and commercial acumen, and you genuinely care about delivering quality outcomes.
Essential:
Proven leadership experience in residential aged care or a comparable health, community or regulated environment
Strong understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards, compliance requirements and best practice care
Demonstrated experience managing operational performance, financials, budgets and workforce planning
Excellent communication, relationship-building and conflict resolution skills
Ability to lead and inspire teams through collaboration, clarity and accountability
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
Highly Desirable:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, business, management or related field
Experience working within a not-for-profit or multi-site organisation
