We are currently seeking permanent part-time Laundry Services Assistants to join the friendly and dedicated team at Respect Alcheringa in Swan Hill, VIC. About the Role: The Laundry Services Assistant is responsible for providing effective and efficient laundry services, ensuring a clean, safe, and home-like environment for residents and staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Collect, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents’ clothing, linen, and other items in a timely and respectful manner.

• Operate commercial laundry equipment according to procedures.

• Follow infection control protocols in handling and processing laundry.

• Ensure laundry is labelled, sorted, and returned to the correct residents.

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area.

• Safe use and storage of laundry chemicals and materials in accordance with safety guidelines.

• Participate in workplace health and safety initiatives.

• Perform other relevant tasks within the scope of the role, as directed by the organisation.

Essential Requirements

• Training or experience in laundry operations or similar support services.

• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).

• Knowledge and experience in chemical handling and infection control.

• Experience in residential aged care or a similar environment is highly regarded.
