We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Services Assistant to join us full time at The Terrace, our vibrant retirement living community in Wangaratta.

As the Maintenance Services Assistant, you will help ensure our buildings, equipment, gardens and communal spaces remain safe, functional and beautifully presented. Your work supports the comfort, wellbeing and quality of life of our residents, and no two days are the same.
This is a hands-on, varied role with opportunities for growth, development and long-term stability.
Maintain buildings, equipment and public areas to a high safety and quality standard
Carry out general maintenance tasks to keep facilities in excellent working order
Provide garden care including watering, tidying, and upkeep of outdoor seating areas, pathways and garden beds
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and gardening schedules
Manage stock levels for repair materials and gardening supplies
Assist in maintaining an up-to-date asset register
Support planning for refurbishments, equipment replacements and capital works
Identify and document preventative maintenance requirements
Ensure compliance with essential services and safety regulations
Oversee external contractors as required
Keep village vehicles tidy and organised, ensuring servicing is up to date
Participate in on-call support if required
Assist with other reasonable tasks aligned with your skills
General maintenance and gardening abilities
A current Driver’s Licence
A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Experience with maintenance programs or facility upkeep
A relevant trade certificate (highly regarded)
Experience in aged care, retirement living or similar environments (desirable)
A commitment to meeting Aged Care Worker Screening requirements
