About the Role

RM Begg is a beautifully appointed aged care residence offering 90 spacious private rooms, each thoughtfully designed with expansive ensuites, built-in wardrobes, and convenient in-room amenities including telephones and high-speed internet. Our home provides a refined and welcoming environment, with a range of elegant private and semi-private indoor and outdoor spaces for residents and staff to enjoy. Surrounded by exquisite gardens, tranquil courtyards, and picturesque walking paths, RM Begg offers a peaceful and supportive setting — making it not only a wonderful place to live, but also a truly rewarding place to work.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong leadership background to undertake a Night Duty In-Charge position within our aged care community. This is a permanent part-time role, working a minimum of six shifts per fortnight.

This role requires a confident and capable clinician who can provide clear direction, oversight, and support to the team while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.

You will utilise your advanced clinical skills, sound judgement, and leadership experience to manage resident care overnight, respond effectively to changes in condition, and ensure safe and efficient operations across the shift.

This position is ideally suited to an RN who thrives in an autonomous environment, demonstrates excellent decision-making skills, and is committed to fostering a culture of dignity, compassion, accountability, and clinical excellence.

No two days are the same! As Registered Nurse you will:

• Complete required funding assessments and clinical documentation accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance and supporting optimal funding and quality care outcomes.
• Maintain high-quality, contemporaneous documentation that accurately reflects care delivery and clinical decision-making
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to Enrolled Nurses and Extended Care Assistants, supporting safe practice and professional standards
• Always uphold confidentiality and ensure staff work safely and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures
• Provide clear, concise shift handover and reporting to the Care Manager and General Manager, and identify training and development needs within the team

About You

You’ll thrive with us if you have:

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, with no restrictions to practice
• Demonstrated clinical experience, preferably within aged care or a related healthcare setting
• Sound knowledge of aged care standards, legislation, and best practice
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and documentation skills
• Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including night duty, as required
