The Social Care Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day oversight and delivery of the social care program at St John’s. Working closely with the General Manager, you will lead social care staff and volunteers to deliver engaging, enriching and responsive programs that reflect the individual needs, preferences and abilities of residents.
This is a full-time salaried role, offering consistency, autonomy and the opportunity to make a genuine impact on residents’ quality of life.
No two days are the same! As Social Care Coordinator, you will:
Lead, deliver and continually review resident-focused social, recreational and therapeutic programs that reflect individual needs, preferences and abilities.
Supervise, support and coordinate social care staff and volunteers, fostering a positive, compliant and engaged team environment.
Promote social connectedness by actively engaging residents, families and the local community, including community groups, schools and support agencies.
Manage social care resources, documentation and budgets, ensuring accurate records, effective stock control and compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
Contribute to facility leadership, quality improvement and strategic planning, including participation in management meetings, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
