Intake Officer – Support at Home
Respect is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting older Australians to live with dignity, respect and belonging. We are seeking a motivated Intake Officer to join our Support at Home team, based at our Lindisfarne location, and play a vital role in connecting prospective clients with the services they need.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a strong sales background, ideally with current experience in the Stay-at-Home or Home Care sector, who enjoys building relationships, guiding clients through important decisions, and contributing to a meaningful purpose.

The Role
As an Intake Officer, you will:
Engage with prospective clients via phone, email and face-to-face meetings
Provide guidance and expert advice on Home Care Packages and Support at Home services
Convert enquiries and warm leads into clients by understanding needs and clearly explaining services
Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, including healthcare providers and community organisations
Manage leads and maintain accurate records in the CRM and My Aged Care portal
Support business development initiatives and proactively generate new leads
Assist with administrative processes including agreements, service transitions and waitlist management
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Support at Home team
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in sales, client engagement or a similar customer-facing role
Knowledgeable about Home Care Packages, service delivery and fee structures (preferred)
Confident in communication, negotiation and relationship management
Able to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with a team
Highly organised with strong time management skills
Supportive, flexible and able to relate to older people with empathy and professionalism
Hold a current driver’s licence without restriction (Tasmania-wide travel required)
Hold a current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
