The Cleaning Services Assistant is responsible for providing cleaning services that contribute to a safe, clean, and home-like living environment for residents and staff at St Anns Home.
Provide cleaning services in accordance with established cleaning schedules.
Mopping, vacuuming and polishing floors, shampooing carpets, damp dusting, waste management, and restocking supplies.
Assist with laundry practices as required.
Maintain records confirming completion of cleaning schedule duties.
Safely store and use cleaning agents, ensuring correct products and quantities are used for each task.
Participate in infection control programs.
Contribute to a safe environment by ensuring equipment does not obstruct exits or passageways.
Undertake other duties within the employee’s skills as directed by the organisation.
Training or experience in cleaning.
Current National Police Certificate (or ability to obtain).
Knowledge and experience in chemical handling.
Experience in residential aged care (desirable).
Ability to meet legislative requirements for Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
