As a Home Care Assistant, you will deliver individualised, in-home support to clients, enabling them to remain living independently in their own homes while maintaining their quality of life.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting personal hygiene and daily living activities
Preparing meals
Performing light household cleaning
Assisting with transportation and appointments
Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition
Supporting health, wellbeing, and social engagement
All care is delivered in a personalised, respectful, and caring manner, aligned with client care plans, Respect policies, and best practice standards.
Availability: Minimum 3 days per week
Hours: Between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Location: Hamilton and surrounding areas
Travel Required: Must be able to travel within approximately a 40 km radius, including towns such as Cavendish, Coleraine, and Dunkeld
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
A genuine passion for making a positive difference in aged care and community services
The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Respect for all people, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Confidence using electronic devices and applications (training provided)
A flexible and reliable approach to work
COVID-19 vaccination (mandatory for Home Care)
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Full driver’s licence and reliable, suitable vehicle
Ability to transport clients
Availability Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work
Ability to work later shifts when required (up to 8:00 p.m.)
Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing, or similar is desirable but not essential.
