About the role

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll work with our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals for residents. You’ll support our Food Safety Program and help create a friendly, welcoming dining experience every day.

Key Duties

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in accordance with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high hygiene standards through general cleaning.
• Monitor and record food safety details, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals and refreshments with a friendly and respectful approach.
• Report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

Essential Requirements:

• Completion of a Food Handling Course
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.
