We are seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Food Service Assistant to join the team at Mareeba Gardens. You will support the catering team by assisting with meal preparation, service, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organised dining environment for our residents.
Assist with meal preparation, plating, and service to ensure residents receive nutritious, well-presented meals.
Support dietary requirements under the guidance of the clinical and catering teams.
Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, dining, and service areas in line with food safety standards.
Assist with stock handling, including restocking and basic inventory support.
Uphold the Food Safety Program and follow safe work practices at all times.
Work effectively within the team to support smooth daily operations.
Perform additional duties within your skill level as directed by the organisation.
Food Handling Course (or willingness to obtain).
Experience in hospitality, kitchen work, or food service.
Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
Ability to meet Aged Care Worker Screening requirements.
Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting older residents.
