Do you have experience in aged care catering and a passion for supporting older people? We are currently seeking a Part-Time Food Services Assistant to join our friendly team at Maleny Erowal Aged Care Home in Maleny, Queensland.

About the Role:
Working under the direction of the Chef or Cook, the Food Services Assistant plays an important role in ensuring residents enjoy nutritious, tasty, and well-presented meals every day. You will support the delivery of our Food Safety Program while helping to create a friendly, welcoming dining experience for residents.

Key Duties:

• Assist with menu planning to meet residents’ needs and preferences.

• Prepare, serve, present, and deliver food and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.

• Carry out general cleaning duties to maintain high standards of hygiene.

• Monitor and record food safety requirements such as temperatures and receipting goods.

• Ensure meals and refreshments are delivered in a friendly and timely manner.

• Report any concerns related to food or beverages to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

Essential Requirements:

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.

• Current National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).

• Previous experience in residential aged care food services.
