We are now seeking a Risk & Assurance Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our risk management framework across all areas of the organisation. Ensuring our residents, people, and communities are safe, compliant, and well-supported.
Reporting to the Chief Quality & Risk Officer, you will play a pivotal role in embedding a proactive risk culture across Respect. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Team, senior leaders, and our Quality and WHS teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across operational, financial, IT and cyber, governance, regulatory, and compliance areas.
Your work will help ensure our risk practices not only meet, but exceed, legislative and aged care quality standards.
Lead the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of Respect’s risk management framework and policies.
Identify and assess emerging risks, developing practical strategies to mitigate them.
Maintain and report on the organisation’s risk register, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.
Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) to support operational resilience and emergency preparedness.
Prepare and present risk reports to the Executive Team, Board, and relevant committees.
Deliver risk management training and education programs to staff and leaders.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in risk and incident management across the organisation.
You are a strategic thinker who enjoys balancing big-picture governance with hands-on implementation. You have strong analytical and reporting skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to simplify complex risk information for a diverse audience.
You will also bring:
Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Health Administration, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience developing and implementing organisational risk frameworks.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
High proficiency in risk registers, incident management systems, and data reporting.
Experience in aged care or healthcare, with knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act 2024. (Desirable)
